Brownie with Walnuts on Top

Makes 9 brownie squares

Ingredients

3/4 cup (150g) bittersweet chocolate chips
1 stick (113g) unsalted butter
1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup (80g) raw cane sugar, packed
1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
3 large eggs
3/4 cup (95g) all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon (2g) salt
1/4 cup (35g) walnuts, coarsely chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F (180ÂșC) and place the rack in the center of the oven. Butter an 8 inch square pan, and line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.

Melt the chocolate and butter in a large stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water.

Stir occasionally until smooth. Remove bowl from simmering water.

Then, stir in the vanilla extract and sugars.

Next, whisk in eggs, one at a time, until combined.

Finally, stir in the flour and salt.

Pour batter into the pan.

Sprinkle some walnuts on top.

Bake for around 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a little batter to it. I recommend you not to over bake.

Let cool on a wire rack for about 5 minutes before removing from the pan.

Enjoy!!
